Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Judge Goldstein moved to Idaho and attended Boise State University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He worked in hotel management before returning to law school receiving his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas.Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Judge Goldstein moved to Idaho and attended Boise State University receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Judge Goldstein is admitted to practice law in Arizona, Texas and Illinois, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. He had been in private practice for twenty years and was appointed as a small claims hearing officer by Judge Arthur Markham. Justice Robert Brutinel appointed Judge Goldstein to the bench in 2010, effective 2011, after the retirement of Judge Rhonda Repp. Judge Goldstein’s current case assignments include domestic matters and Title IV-D cases.

Judge Goldstein has been active with the local Bar Association’s Law Day activities, Divorce 101 Program, Community Legal Services’ Ombudsman Program, Meals on Wheels, and Yavapai County Search and Rescue.
